VinFast & Castrol Partner for EV Aftersales in India
VinFast Asia's CEO, Pham Sanh Chau, has expressed a long-term commitment to India, aiming to build an inclusive EV ecosystem with reliable aftersales care. The company has partnered with Castrol India to ensure excellent service for its customers, as noted by Rajeev Govil, Senior Vice President of Castrol India.
VinFast Auto India and Castrol India Ltd have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to strengthen VinFast's EV aftermarket operations in India. The partnership will see Castrol select outlets from its network of over 750 service centers to provide dedicated VinFast-branded service bays, certified EV technicians, and genuine VinFast parts.
VinFast, which recently launched its VF6 and VF7 battery-powered SUVs in India, plans to have 35 dealerships in 27 cities by the end of 2025. The company has an initial assembly capacity of 50,000 vehicles annually in India, scalable to 150,000 units. VinFast will provide technical training, service manuals, and diagnostic tools, while Castrol will ensure workshops meet infrastructure and capability standards.
Through this collaboration, VinFast aims to build a 'trusted service ecosystem' in India, providing reliable and accessible aftersales services to its customers. Both companies are committed to growing the electric mobility sector in India by ensuring excellent customer support.
