Vocational fair spanning two days achieves significant success
In Osnabrück, the AUSBILDUNG 49 career fair served as a bustling hub for two days, connecting companies, educational institutions, and aspiring trainees. With over 150 exhibitors and several thousand attendees, the event showcased the keen interest young people have in training and career prospects.
Taking place at the Halle Gartlage, the fair was a vibrant meeting ground for both local and regional students seeking valuable insights into various industries and professions. Personal conversations with industry representatives were a popular means for students to gain knowledge about potential training paths and dual study programs.
Industries offering hands-on experiences were especially sought after, as many exhibitors provided interactive activities, trial job offers, and virtual reality experiences to make training professions tangible.
The keen interest and positive response from visitors were underscored by José Rodrigues Freitas, Managing Director of JF MESSEKONZEPT GmbH & Co. KG, who noted the importance of direct contacts between young people and potential training companies. Exhibitors also reported successful conversations and expressed enthusiasm about the concrete interest in internships and training positions.
AUSBILDUNG 49 once again demonstrated its significance as the central platform for career guidance in the Osnabrück region by successfully executing the two-day event. With the planning for next year already underway, the event will take place on May 8 and 9, 2026.
Companies interested in joining AUSBILDUNG 49 as exhibitors are invited to request information directly from project manager Nadine Kwetschas, who will be happy to share details on available stand spaces and possible participatory actions.
This year's AUSBILDUNG 49 was supported by prominent figures like Katharina Pötter, Oberbürgermeisterin of Osnabrück, and Anna Kebschull, Landrätin of the Landkreis Osnabrück.
The event typically includes a diverse array of companies and organizations offering a wide range of apprenticeship opportunities, as exemplified by the GMH Group's participation in previous years, which highlighted career pathways such as material testing, electronics engineering, industrial business administration, and tool mechanics. The fair also incorporates a dynamic program, featuring interactive activities and a "Karriere Slam" for engaging exploration of career options.
