Women in Romania now have access to the inaugural, complimentary financial education platform, thanks to FeminEast's initiatives.

Women in Romania are now offered a novel opportunity for financial education, with FeminEast debuting its first free platform specifically designed for women.

In a groundbreaking move, the FeminEast Association has launched a free digital platform dedicated to financial education for women and young girls in Eastern Europe. The platform, designed by a team of young women with expertise in education, communication, and finance, aims to provide accessible financial knowledge tailored to women and girls in the region [1].

The financial world is often perceived as overly complex, male-dominated, and inaccessible by many young women, according to a survey conducted by FeminEast. The platform is designed as a friendly way to familiarize oneself with the topics needed for financial independence, addressing persistent gaps in financial literacy among women and girls [1].

The survey revealed that one in three young people in Romania have unanswered questions about money management, and fifteen percent of the surveyed young people cite lack of financial education as a significant obstacle [1]. Over half of young women aged 16 to 30 do not know how to create a personal budget, and twenty-seven percent struggle with impulsive spending [1].

The platform offers a simple, accessible starting point and an open community for women seeking financial education. All modules on the platform are free and designed to be accessible to users regardless of their prior financial knowledge. The platform focuses on confidence-building, practical tools, and promoting a more empathetic relationship with money [1].

Cristina Pogorevici, one of the association's founders, stated that the platform was created with the belief that every woman has the right to understand and control her own financial decisions. The platform aims to give users confidence through the information gained throughout the modules [1].

FeminEast is a non-profit organization that promotes financial education as a form of empowerment for women in Eastern Europe. The association has over 30 active volunteers and ongoing programs such as FeminEast Connections, webinars, and partnerships with institutions like the National Bank of Romania [1].

It is worth noting that women in Romania continue to face financial vulnerability during life events such as divorce, motherhood, or relocation. Women hold just a third of leadership positions in Romania, and only 20% of Romanians meet the minimum criteria for financial literacy, according to the European Commission [1].

The FeminEast digital platform is a significant step towards financial empowerment for women and young girls in Eastern Europe. By providing accessible financial knowledge, the platform aims to help women gain control over their financial decisions and build a more secure future.

The platform provided by FeminEast, aimed at financial education, caters specifically to young women in Eastern Europe, serving as a means to address the prevalent gaps in financial literacy among them. In this business of financial education and self-development, the digital platform extends an opportunity to women, empowering them with the knowledge to make informed financial decisions and secure their future.
